'Elisabeth Rohm: Bull or Bear, TV's Hot Shot Broker Likes To Be Pampered'

There are some things professional models just don't do well. Take the wearing of sweatpants for instance, or stuffing their holes at buffets, or even speaking in complete sentences. But finally the profession can be recognized for something other than providing pleasure to millions of men: convincing actress Elisabeth Rohm she should go to L.A.

"I figured if models, who can't even act their way out of a hat, could get roles, then I could probably land one," she says. Upon arriving, the sassy and ambitious 27-year-old landed roles on both the stock-market drama Bull and the Buffy spinoff Angel, meaning that, thankfully for viewers worldwide, there are a few less roles for Paulina Porizkova to butcher.

Did you prepare for your role on Bull by watching many long hours of CNBC?

I went to the trading floor at Merrill and the anxiety was surreal. I was shaking and wanted a drink. I saw somebody lose $9 million. He knew it was just a shitty day- what goes down, must come up. There was this sense of cool, but utter terror.

You're tough on TV, but what about in real life?

I'm not a girly girl. I don't like to paint my nails. I don't want to be wooed. I ride horses and I'm strong. I've always related to a lot of male characteristics, but now as I get older, I realize I'm also a woman and I want to be completely pampered and treated as a princess.

What's the least romantic thing a guy has done for you?

I have a friend who told me, "Liz, I have feelings for you." But he's in a relationship. I would never in a million years date this guy because I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. Never flirt with somebody when you're unavailable.

You ride horses everyday. You have to be aware of how sexual that is.

Even the clothes are suggestive. Once I was wearing jeans and chaps from riding, and I showed up to work, and George Newbern, who's a friend and my co-star, was like, "Good God, you might as well just put arrows saying, 'Right here!' because the openings are on your crotch and butt."
