Big Shots star Elisabeth Rohm sits down with Life & Style to talk baby!
Life & Style [November 2007]
"The bigger the bump gets, the more connected you feel." - - Elisabeth, to Life & Style
Being pregnant has changed her, Elisabeth tells Life & Style: "You begin to slow down and become a little bit more grounded."
When Elisabeth Rohm woke up one morning about four months ago, she knew something had changed. "I just felt different," she says. "So I went to the doctor and they tested me and said 'You are pregnant' -- and of course I screamed because it's a miracle for anyone."
Elisabeth, 34, who's starring on ABC's Big Shots, revealed her baby news exclusively to Life & Style while relaxing at Santa Monica's Oceana hotel on Nov. 10. "I am so excited," she says. "I feel great. I've been sleeping 10 hours a day and eating truckloads of food on a daily basis. I'm eating fruit and yogurt and granola and great vegetables."
Instead of going to the gym for exercise when I started acting, I studied dressage- it's like ballet on horseback. Producers didn't like me show jumping because they didn't want me to get hurt, even though I'd done it as a kid without injury. I loved riding so much, I switched to dressage to calm their concerns. Otherwise I stayed healthy by walking for miles, most recently in New York City, where I lived while filming Law & Order.
Baby Before Marriage: With news of the April 28 due date, her engatement to entrepreneur Ron Wooster now takes a backseat to "Easton" -- the name she chose for her baby, who, she learned on Nov. 12, will be a girl. "We postponed the wedding because it's really less important than having a great pregnancy," says Elisabeth. "And weddings can be stressful."
Now, she says, she plans to tie the knot with Ron next September in New York's Hamptons. Notes Elisabeth, "We'll just have an extra guest at our wedding!"
